The IM Jomo Pitterson Master’s Knockout is a 32 player knockout that lasted from August 3 – September 1, 2019. Each match consists of 2 games played at a time control of 90 minutes with 30 second increments after each move (90/30). If the players are tied after the classical portion, there will be 2 rapid games played at a time control of 20/5. If the tie remains, 2 blitz games will be played at 5/3. If both players remain tied after the previous tiebreak games, an Armageddon game will be played where the player with the white pieces will have 5 minutes and black will have 4 minutes. If the game is drawn, the black player will win the match.
